Twin Cities Early Music Festival

  • St. Mary's Episcopal Church St. Paul MN (map)

The Mirandola Ensemble (Angela Grundstad, soprano; Clara Osowski, alto; Nicholas Chalmers, Artistic Director, tenor; Andrew Kane, baritone; and Matthew Culloton, bass) presents "Love and Death," as part of the Twin Cities Early Music Festival. The program will feature the Madrigals of Renaissance masters Thomas Weelkes, Thomas Morley, and Orlando Lassus, the haunting Funeral Sentences of Thomas Thompkins, as well as the lush harmonies of sacred works by Johann Schein, Heinrich Schutz, and J.C. Bach. Mirandola is thrilled to welcome classical guitarist Ben Kunkel for the lute songs of John Dowland. Tickets available at the door.
