Join environmentalist/composer Gabriela Lena Frank and writer/birder/conservationist J. Drew Lanham for a conversation on collaboration, sustainability, birds, and music; and for the announcement of their new work for orchestra set to premiere January 2024, commissioned by The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and The Great Northern, with generous support from Elizabeth and Justus Schlichting. The lunch hour event will feature three unique song settings, all using the same lines of poetry by Lanham, composed by Frank, performed by pianist Ahmed Anzaldua and mezzo-soprano Clara Osowski.
